Dr. Bumberry is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of eating disorders for children, adolescents, and adults. She is dedicated to providing inclusive, evidence-based care to support all individuals in their pursuit of health and healing, and ultimately, of a life they desire. She is a Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) through the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals, and one of few certified Family Based Treatment providers in the state of Missouri. She utilizes therapies proven to be effective, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Family-Based Treatment (FBT), also known as the Maudsley Approach. Dr. Bumberry has additional training in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), and Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE) for PTSD.
Prior to founding Partners in Wellness, Dr. Bumberry provided evidence based, outpatient services at McCallum Place Treatment Center. She completed her post-doctoral residency at Saint Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute's Eating Disorders Program and Psychology and Religion Program. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Xavier University with an emphasis on child and adolescent psychology.
Dr. Bumberry is committed to providing education and training on eating disorders for community therapists and medical providers and often presents to local organizations. She is an Adjunct Professor at The Brown School of Social Work at Washington University. Dr. Bumberry is also a founding member of the St. Louis Adolescent Eating Disorders Coalition, a multi-disciplinary group working to improve early identification and improved access to eating disorder care in Missouri.
